Howie Timms - General Manager, Commercial

Howie brings over 30 years’ experience working in the banking industry, both in New Zealand and Australia.  He has high level skills in a range of areas within this sector including business development, credit assessment and risk analysis, commercial lending, marketing and people management.

His key focus areas at NBS are to develop and implement client acquisition, including managing high value banking relationships. He also leads the marketing, communication and community giving strategies.

A Justice of the Peace and a board member of Rata Foundation since 2021, Howie has a Bachelor of Business (BBus) from RMIT (Melbourne, Australia) and is a member of the Institute of Directors (NZ).

Howie joined NBS in 2005.
