Sam and his family returned from an extended period overseas to live in Nelson during the pandemic.

He has a long involvement in the financial sector with senior executive roles in banks, hedge funds and investment managers across the UK, Europe and Asia-Pacific, most recently as head of European and Asia-Pacific Real Estate Credit at Barings, a USD$420B+ investment manager. Sam studied economics and law at the University of Canterbury before starting his career as a solicitor at Russell McVeagh.

He is thankful for the opportunity to contribute to the great work that NBS does for the local communities where it operates.
