Virginia Douglas

Head of Risk and Compliance

Virginia is an experienced financial services professional, with more than 20 years of working in the industry. She brings her experience in risk, compliance and conduct to NBS.  As a qualified lawyer, her experience in establishing and leading risk and compliance teams and frameworks has strengthened NBS’ risk management frameworks and capability.

Virginia was drawn to NBS’ history, its community commitment and client ownership. She is passionate about helping NBS develop its risk and compliance frameworks to help NBS deliver good outcomes for our clients and communities for another 160 years. She has a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts (Hons) (Victoria University, Wellington) and an MLitt (Glasgow University).

Virginia joined NBS in 2024.
