All existing cardholders, along with any new clients, will receive a brand new NBS Debit Mastercard by mid 2024.
1. Set up your PIN via Internet Banking or the NBS Mobile App
2. Activate your card by using an ATM or making an “in-person” purchase using your PIN
3. Authenticate online transactions with codes received via mobile text message

We’ll help you set up your Internet and Mobile banking. Simply visit any NBS branch or call us on 0800 101 700, Monday – Friday, 9.30am – 4.30pm.
Misplaced, lost, stolen or damaged cards
If you misplace your new card, you can temporarily block it via Internet Banking or the NBS Mobile App.
Please contact us immediately if your card is lost, stolen or damaged on 0800 101 627. If you are overseas call 64 3 548 9928 (collect).
How to apply for an NBS Debit Mastercard if you don’t already have one?
If you’re already an NBS client, please call us on 0800 101 700 and we can help arrange to assign a card to any of your existing transactional accounts.
If you aren’t a client of NBS but would like to set up a transactional account with an NBS Debit Mastercard, call us to arrange a time to come in and see us.
