Kelvin Small - Commercial Manager

Kelvin is proud to call Mid Canterbury home and values the strong sense of community and connection that comes from living and working locally. With more that 30 years banking experience working with business, commercial and corporate clients, Kelvin brings strong collaborative and strategic business management skills to his role as NBS Commercial Manager, Ashburton. 

His key focus areas for NBS are to grow new clients in Ashburton and the Canterbury region, provide high-quality personalised banking services and deliver banking solutions that support local business and our regional economy. Kelvin genuinely enjoys holding honest conversations, listening to understand client’s business goals and financial needs to enable considered banking solutions. 

Kelvin is an Associate of the Bankers Institute of New Zealand and completed a Diploma in Business Studies and Diploma in Management. 

Outside of work, Kelvin enjoys spending time with my family, hiking, water skiing, wakeboarding, snow skiing, snowboarding, and mountain biking. He has completed the Coast 2 Coast individual multisport race and remains involved each year with Coast 2 Coast race day set up of transition areas and race day activities.
