Nelson Netball Centre are pleased to confirm their ongoing partnership with NBS into the 2022 netball season and beyond. Nelson Netball and NBS have been mutually beneficial partners for many years and both organisations are excited to grow and develop the relationship as Nelson Netball look for more ways to increase exposure of the sport across the region.
Nelson Netball General Manager Ani Waitai says:
Our partnership agreement allows us to put the needs of our netball community at the forefront so that we are able to continue to offer opportunities, while growing our lifelong love of netball.”
As well as having extended their naming rights partnership of the NBS Premier Netball Competition, NBS are also supporting both the junior and senior umpiring squads with brand new t-shirts and a long-term investment and have provided brand new post pads for Saxton Stadium.
Over the last year, NBS has invested a record $1 million back into the communities that it serves. NBS’ GM Commercial, Howie Timms says “We are committed to making a positive difference to the health and well-being of the people in our communities. Our sponsorship of Nelson Netball is a fantastic way of making this happen on the ground.”
Howie continues, “Our clients value our approach of giving back to the community and understand that by banking with NBS, they play an important part in the difference we make.”
The 2022 Nelson Netball Season has just passed the halfway point, with teams looking to solidify their positions heading into the Championship Round. The NBS Premier Competition has been a great contest between all teams, with the FCL Nelson Men remaining unbeaten after being pushed to the wire by Jacks OPD in Round 1. At the end of Round 2, there will be promotion/relegation between all grades.
Nelson Netball extend a huge thank you to all their clubs and teams for being adaptable this season and especially to all the officials, coaches, managers and volunteers who ensure that netball in the region is a success.
