NBS Platinum Sponsors of the Kawatiri Coastal Trail

Posted on 17 May 2023

NBS is proud to announce its platinum sponsorship of the Kawatiri Coastal Trail, a 42km cycle trail from Westport through to Charleston that is due for completion by early 2024.

The sponsorship funds will help support, develop, and maintain the newly developed trail, making it an iconic "must-do" bucket list ride for New Zealanders and international tourists.

NBS will provide funds for the next three years, demonstrating its commitment to the district’s recovery and development, following the devastating floods of 2021.

The Kawatiri Coastal Trail is an essential part of the community's recovery and NBS is proud to support what will be a great asset to the community.

We are very pleased to accept this sponsorship from NBS and excited that this will make such a difference to the Kawatiri Coastal Trail, as well as being a significant benefit to the wider Buller community," said Shayne Barry, Marketing Coordinator for the Kawatiri Trail.

NBS has been serving the Westport/Buller community for almost 20 years and has made significant financial contributions to help community groups and entities grow and prosper.

We are excited that this cycle trail is going to be part of the district’s recovery and development. It will become a valuable community asset and eventually become an iconic cycle adventure for everybody visiting this region," said Mark Radloff, NBS Branch Manager.

"We are part of the fabric of our community and want to grow our market share and strengthen our connections in the Buller District. The more we grow, the more we can give," added Radloff.
