NBS community banking client
Our club’s core values centre around respect, responsibility, determination and care. So when the time came to choose a banking partner for our charitable trust, the decision really came down to finding an alignment of values.
Victory Boxing has been dedicated to helping people of all ages in the Nelson region for twelve years now, and NBS has been by our side as our banking partner for about eight of those years.
We really respect and love what NBS does and how community is such a major focus of who they are. They’ve been on the ride with us since our humble beginnings and, from there, have become our close allies. They saw our potential early on and have helped us to have the confidence to grow and expand year on year.
With NBS, it is easy to see that everything they do is done for the right reasons and so many of their core values reflect our own. Just like us, they want to help people as a whole. They want to support local and build communities.
The thing we felt most connected to about NBS was the human touch they put on everything — there is a human face to everything they do. You don’t always get that with banks.
We do our personal banking with NBS and have a number of accounts with them, which they are endlessly supportive with. Although we have pretty standard operations when it comes to banking, they make it that much easier for us to manage, especially with things like term investments.
What’s amazing is beyond that day-to-day banking relationship, NBS supports our community through things like scholarships, providing the young people we look after with once-in-a-lifetime opportunities like Outward Bound courses. The support we get from NBS helps with our running costs right across the board.
Our long-term partnership is built on a mutual respect that is forever looking forward.
The team at NBS help us not only invest in the now but also encourages us to think about growth and plans for the future so we can keep developing and catering to people in need in our community for years to come.
