Howie Timms

General Manager, Commercial

Howie brings over 30 years’ experience working in the banking industry, both in New Zealand and Australia.  He has high level skills in a range of areas within this sector including marketing, business development, people management, credit assessment and risk analysis. 

Howie’s key focus at NBS is to develop and implement acquisition, marketing and communication strategies that drive client growth and market share.  He also manages many of NBS’ high value banking relationships.

He became a Justice of the Peace in 2016 to further his contribution to the Community and in 2021 was appointed to the Board of Rata Foundation.  He has a Bachelor of Business (BBus) from RMIT (Melbourne, Australia) and is a member of the Institute of Directors (NZ).

Howie joined NBS in 2005.
